ABOUT

I'm a photojournalist who has worked for the USA Today Wisconsin network since 2018, covering everything from presidential elections and a dog sled musher from Jamaica to high school state tournaments and Green Bay Packers games.
I'm a 2013 University of Iowa graduate and a Daily Iowan alum. My journalistic sights were initially set on becoming a sportswriter, but after moving from the sports department to the photo department for my last two months at the DI, I discovered my true calling. After graduation, I cut my teeth covering Iowa high school sports for Sports Spotlight magazine and, upon going back to school, shooting for the University of Iowa athletic department as a student photographer from 2016-2018.
When I'm not shooting, you can often find me near a grill or smoker, where I'm constantly fine-tuning my barbecue recipes, or with a pair of drumsticks in my hands. I think it's important to have creative outlets that are separate from my work (although I have no problem sharing the food with coworkers).
